The Shannon Gaels Community Development Group would like to thank all those who took part in the Estuary Challenge 2016 on Saturday 11th June. There was a real community effort involved in running the event with 108 VOLUNTEERS lending their support this year to make it its biggest success to date with 196 CYCLISTS taking part. The Group would also like to thank its sponsors Dublin Coach, Pat Keogh-Florida, Clive Kelly Safety, Shannon Ferries, TopBike, Supervalu-Kilrush, Noel Ryan's Butchers, Tesco-Kilrush, Centra-Kildysart, The Pantry-Kilkee, Ml King Haulage, Jimmy Guinane, DJ Fitz-Kilmihil, John O'Connell, Morrissey's Bar-Carrigaholt, Tubridy's Bar-Cooraclare. The event generated €7,065 (registration & sponsorship), costing €1,088 to run, with the Group making an overall profit of €5,977. All funds raised are going towards the development of an indoor facility at the Shannon Gaels Pitch.
